I enjoyed that race. Apart from Lewis' run-away victory there was plenty of battles all the way down the pack. Just a shame about the retirements and the fact that the BBC only did highlights.

Indeed, has the BBC given up on F1 couverage? Well it seems they have...deeply disgruntgled of Hampton Wick.

No, it was a change in the broadcasting rights this year. The FIA mandated that pay TV companies could not have exclusive live broadcasting rights to F1, so Sky found a loophole and now Sky broadcasts all races/qualifying/practise live, and the BBC broadcasts 10 races/qualifying live and the remaining 10 events they have 'extended' highlights of the qualifying/race.

In fairness, the extended highlights are better than I was expecting. You don't get the live event and sense of drama (I rarely get time to watch live and watch it recorded anyway) but it trims the fat from the race and you don't feel like you've missed much at all.
