ive written a timeline for the progress and Soyuz missions to the ISS for use with Thornton's ISS v3.2, but for some of the more complex missions (where 3 vessels have operations between launches) it would be much easier to have access to the txt file without closing Orbiter (which causes problems for me on win7)

can somebody code an MFD to read txt files from an Orbiter sub-directory so i can load mission plans and such into them?

Thanks

Something like this? [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=683"]Checklist MFD[/ame] or this? [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3269"]Notes MFD[/ame]

bingo, thanks Gary, ill just fix up my timeline into a checklist format

thanks man!

well, the checklist MFD seems to be a bit buggy, theres little UI and it wont load new checklists (even the ones supplied with the package)

any ideas how i can do this?

thanks

To load custom checklists you must provide the file extension too...
Did you do that?
And what do you mean by buggy?

Personally, I think this functionality would be better suited to a kneeboard addon rather than cramming it into an MFD. Similar to what is found in MSFS.

Also please add some basic displaying capability for html, doc, rtf and fb2 files. Nothing beats reading your favourite books during long cruises. ;)
My solution to this issue: I have a second monitor!
Orbiter on the main monitor and Tex video tutorials/whatever on the other one!

P.S.: @SiberianTiger: this is not the original developer's thread, if you meant to ask for some implementations into Checklist MFD or Notes MFD...
