Does anyone want to explore the ghost village and take screenshots detailing the decay? It seems to me like it would be so cool to go there to poke about and imagine what happened, and how it was before. Since I can't do that, would anyone go for me? I'd like to tempt you guys with something, like the prizes given to the first to drive from New York to Peking or the first to get to magnetic North, but I don't have anything to offer but my thanks.:shrug:

Make sure you take the stargate to the new world--I haven't been able to fix the spawn to point at the new world yet, so all new players are still spawning in the old world.

Update from the Subway Administration Office

Hi guys. Here's the current status of the subway project. Recent changes:

• Deactivated Underground Dome Station (Minecarts pass through)
• Introduced a new line to the Network: Blue Line
• Extended Blue Level in YAH Station (Seguso Mining)
• Tunnel Connection from YAH to Desert Area established
• Various fixes on Green Line

A little more detail on this: The new Blue Line will be more of an "Express Line" that cuts through the main island from east to west. Here's a current layout:

Stations printed in white are functional, those in black are not in service yet.

Also, Blue Line Stations will function slightly different from green ones where you automatically stop before every station. Instead, on the Blue Line, carts will always go through stations so to stop you will have do destroy your minecart. You will be able to depart as usual, though.

As for the Underwater Dome station, this was disabled since this stop is almost never used. It can be quickly connected again should the need arise.

However, both descends for east and west directions have been built:

That's what the desert is for. I usually try to keep the landscape as natural as possible.

I think jangofett287 owns part of the valley there. Can I build through it? It will be at the base of the valley near sea level.

The yellow line is a possible option that will be investigated first. Blane will probably complete that one if done.

I can't see any problems with that. It will be nice to have a proper connection to the town, rather than my quickly dug steps.

JAR file is just a ZIP archive, so any program that can update ZIP archives can do it.

Well, apparently the occupiers broke the entrance piston mechanic. We have currently no time to repair or find out what the hippies broke. Since it was the subway exit, the main hub station is now out of service. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I thought creepers were the one mob that could spawn regardless of light level? I.e. even in full sunlight?

No, creepers do not spawn in daylight or at high light levels. The difference is that they don't burn in sunlight and thus remain after dawn.
