Yo, what's up guys... I wanna say that I discovered 2 news, one bad, one good. Lets talk about the good news first,

I recently found orbiter, and found myself doing tonnes of trials trying to get to ISS and back, safely... Fortunately, I found Tex and Oceanic videos very useful. I started with DGIV and then moved on to XR2... I love both of them, but I do have to say that XR2 is more forgiving during reentry and landings.

The bad news, is that I didn't find this game earlier...

So now, I am just simply waiting for the next Tuesday to come, so that I can enjoy XR2 MKII and DGV...

EDIT: *Oops, forgot to mention that my permanent surface base is at wideawake international*

I always found the DG more forgiving. The last time I tried an XR-2 entry resulted in some embarrassed debris arriving over the south pacific...

anyway :welcome:

GaryW, you are not alone there, good thing Loru made a pier for rescue ships!

Welcome to the forum ercsim! I wish I'd found Orbiter sooner too, just be careful or it will take over all your free time

Guess its already too late to say that... Any larger space stations that you guys can suggest? Plus, which MFD is better for beginners IMFD or TransX?

That was partly my fault as I've been messing around with various ships in orbiter and a chat on IRC led to a pier and cargo playset. I must put up some more screenshots of that.

I use the default ISS with a few extra modules as this was a good way for me to have a target to dock with and to mess around with building a space station.

Personally I use IMFD but I'm learning TransX. They are both powerful and knowing both gives you the option of using the best tool for the job.
I'd start with IMFD but keep in mind that TransX can do a lot.

Welcome to the forum and may the :probe: bless your profile! :hailprobe:
Well, you're calling yourself a beginner eh? You call yourself an beginner and you can do things that I still don't master and I play it for already 2 years.

:welcome: to OF!

About space stations: if you want, you can always build your own (although it'd be a good idea to get a decent amount of experience under your belt first). Check out Greg Burch's 'Space Station Building Blocks 4.0' - you can generally have a lot of fun with those! Also, kulch's Mir-2 is also excellent, IMO. And as always, there are many many more stations of varying quality on Orbit Hangar.
