Didn't see this in the search, but I have to hit the "X" to exit - a "forced" point and click. Is this a bug or a feature? It would be nice if the F3 was a"toggle", too.

Thanks!

I recently had some odd behavior with the dialog boxes in orbiter, especially the "X" does not displays sometimes. Notice that you can close any dialog boxes by clicking on it, then press "Alt-F4".

That's the way it has worked for me since I started using Orbiter.

I have a similar problem with Dan's DGIV. The dialogs have no [Close] or [Back] buttons. (Skin and Payload dialogs)

I'm not sure about the F3 problem, I can't remember evel closing it with the X or Alt-F4 but I can't check right now. I can confirm the DGIV problem as I always had to close it and reopen it when I wanted to add more than one "thing" (any better word?). The F3 is a toggle, if you know how to use it. It's a secret only known to the wisest of men. (*cough*Ctrl-F3*cough*)

Not in Orbiter. Are you sure about that one? I remember the old times where Turbo Pascal opened a source code with F3, and closed with Alt-F3, but I can't remember in Orbiter being able to close the ship list window with Ctrl-F3 (or even with Alt-F3 or Shift-F3), but only with Alt-F4 if the window had the focus (otherwise it closed the simulation).

 I thought he meant that F3 toggles the view, not the window. In that case, Ctrl-F3 really is a toggle...

Edit: I checked it now (had a nice flight around the KSC :)) and it seems that I always close it with the X. I always forget such little details, I do them without even thinking about it...
