I think the point of a "demotivational" poster has been lost.

They aren't supposed to be jokes filled with internet meme and language, they are supposed to be parodies of corporate propaganda motivational posters.

And even as jokes, some of these just aren't even that funny.

Way to miss the point. The demotivator format is an internet meme by itself, whether it's used as a parody of a motivational poster, to re-iterate other internet memes or just as a joke.

Way to miss the point yourself. Jokes are supposed to be amusing.

The thread is for demotivational posters, not demotivational speeches.

The point was, there has yet to be something which qualifies as a demotivational poster posted in this thread.

I beg to differ with you. Several of those posted hit the nail on the head. The "Mars, you'll never get there" is a perfect example.

Way to miss the point. Jokes are supposed to be amusing internet memes about corporate propaganda.

Jokes, in general, are supposed to be amusing. If your statement earlier that the posters in the thread were merely "jokes", in response to Andy44's statement that they were not what constitutes demotivational posters, is to be taken seriously, the posters should logically be amusing.

I've yet to find any of them so.

It was potentially demotivating, and was closer than most, but still not quite.
