I dislike it when people use any color other than the default, as it makes it hard to read.

There's no reason to use any color other than the default in regular posting.

Believe it or not, there is actually a purpose to this poll.

Halloween - light text on dark background
OF default - Dark text on light background
Classic white-Dark text on light background
Dark Nights -light text on dark background
Kartel -light text on dark background
M6 Classic -Dark text on light background
Orbiter -light text on dark background
White pages -Dark text on light background
Vbulletin -Dark text on light background

I was looking to see if more people like dark skins than light skins. So far it appears to be a 15-18 split.

Perhaps because it was the default skin for quite some time and is the only skin you really got used to? There are some issues with it which I have never been happy about and according to the stats I've seen on the back-end it appears the majority are using other skins. I do apologize if you've become attached to that skin, but as the notice posted on that skin says it will be phased out after Dec 1. This is to make room for the seasonal holiday skin as well as the much anticipated Apollo skin. I try to provide you guys with a variety of skins, but each skin is unique and requires special attention to keep it updated with the rest of the site. For this reason I attempt to keep the number of skins to a reasonable amount in which I can maintain. I also try to provide you all with seasonal skins like the Halloween and upcoming Holiday skin. These are just that, only available during the appropriate season.

I must apologize the Apollo skin has taken so long to release. A couple of factors are the reason behind this. First, we had some big idea's for the skin which is taking a bit longer than I would like. We may not be able to do everything we wanted with the skin, but the competition we had for the header design will still be implemented into the Apollo skin. The other factor is the development of vBulletin (our forum software). A major version change is coming which would break all of our current skins until they can be converted. Before we spent too much time on the Apollo skin I was biding my time while I decide if we will upgrade to the new vBulletin. Right now it looks like we will not make the switch to the 4 series so hopefully we can commit to finishing the Apollo skin soon!

Obviously given the nature of future software updates it's impossible for me to say with absolute certainty which skins will always be available in their present format, but I can promise that as long as we're running the current version of vBulletin we will keep the following skins:

OF Default
Dark Nights
Kartel
M6 Classic
Orbiter
White Pages
vBulletin

Any future software updates that will require the skins to be converted could complicate things depending on the skin. I promise however I will make every effort to keep the most popular skins through every future upgrade. :tiphat:

That's what I did. I use "orbiter".
