What is your favorite essence of life or what so you enjoy the most about life?

It could yes. I am grateful for the fact that I have a house, food to eat, and other extra necessities that millions others do not have.

Sentience. The fact that the human brain is capable of looking at the world around it and asking profound questions about its nature, rather than just searching for the next meal. The search for information and the fact that questions like this exist.

That too has puzzled my thoughts deeply. I always wondered how we evolved from primitive beings to one of the most intelligent life forms that we know of.

Sitting in a bar with friends and good food listening to live music while slightly intoxicated, and walking around the city on a cool night with a camera and a tripod, just taking my time to actually look and see what's around me, and then trying to interpret it on film. Using my brain to solve an engineering problem and writing a software tool. Sitting on top of a mountain overlook after a long climb and just feeling the euphoria, looking down on the valley.

Also, sex is nice, too.

If you are in front of a computer you are part of the 2% more fortunate human beings on Earth. This gives me a reason to feel gratitude towards life.

Well, what about women and sex? Honestly nothing. I guess what I am is called asexuell, seriously. It turned out recently when I saw an online documentary and even more when I did a small online test afterwards (+ I did not have a girlfriend for 13 years in August and I still don't feel any need to get one). But it was guessed already by those who know me. I have no problems to be one of the about 1% of the population (but I think the number of unknown cases indeed is higher). Obviously it's the others who do have or partly would have serious problems with it.

When you say 'one of the most intelligent', I'm wondering which lifeform you know of that is more intelligent than humans. Unless you are thinking dolphins due to Douglas Adams' reasoning

Well, it is almost selffish to think that we are the only intelligent beings in the universe. Don't you think?
