News Ferrari in 2010 F1?

BBC is a little late on this story, aren't they? Ferrari have been threatening this for the last 2 weeks. It'll never happen though, the FIa will run off with their tail between their legs as per usual.

I don't watch F1 anymore but why isn't a team like Minardi (I don't think they run anymore) complaining? I have all the respect for Ferrari and the history they have but it's a sport where it's all about the money, and they had a hand in that big time. I don't know... just have a championship where autopilots drive the cars and the technology matters (that's the excuse for the huge expences) and one where real drivers matter. I got tired of seeing "top drivers" run full throttle on corner exits. There are better out there that just don't have access to top level championships because of some "protege" kids with connections in the industry. It's patetic, there are plenty of better championships out there, F1 is a piece of #$&^! Remember the Schumacher era, when he was finishing 30-40 seconds ahead. Come on... To hell with Ferrari too, I'd just buy a BMW M3 and keep the extra cash for gas for the rest of it's life.

Maybe if Ferrari win a race, they'll bring their ball back. Its all good background politics, not as entertaining as "Mad Max's" expolits...

haha no doubt! Looks like they're just using it to force F1 to change that rule and as simonpro mentioned they'll cave with their tale between their legs. There are too many red car fans to let them leave the sport.

Ferrari has its roots too deep in the F1 to just "pull the plug"
Their road cars are more less derivates of the racing cars and what would Ferrari be without F1? Something like all those "supercars" manufacturers creating 1 or 2 superfast cars but goes bankrupt in few months later?
Ferrari depends on F1 and F1 depends on Ferrari.
