Okay, you got a very, very bad stick, and you got ripped off, too. Most sticks these days have a "twist" function as a third axis which you use for rudder. For the same price you could've gotten a [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Extreme-Joystick-Silver-Black/dp/B00009OY9U/"]Amazon.com: Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick (Silver/Black): Electronics[/ame]went to best buy and got an attack 3 joystick. mapped the rudder and elevators to the hat buttons. are there any other commands that i really should have mapped to it? i got throttle and brakes but i cant really think of anything else to put on the last 5... also should i map anything to the trigger?
as an afterthaught, is there a way to make the rudder return to the default position after i let go of the button? it gets annoying how it sticks to where i left it until i manually move it back. and then it alwayse seems to be off by just a little bit
which has not only a twist stick but also a separate throttle lever.
You'll want to put flaps up on a button, flaps down on another, and landing gear on a third. You'll probably also want transmit voice on your stick, if you have a headset.
But seriously...if it's at all possible, return that stick to the store and order the one I linked above for the same price. Alternately, Best Buy also carries the Logitech Extreme, but for $45.
