It's been some time since I have gotten back to using Orbiter for simulations of our missions to space but we are now going to develop simulations of our Mig 29 nearspace flights as well as rocket launches of cubesats from the Mig 29's into LEO. We also want to simulate Balloon launches to nearspace and HPR rocket launches to space from them. All of this work is to simulate cheap access to space using these methods. Our team wants to simulate these launches for competition in the N-Prize and the NASA Centennial Challenge to launch cubesats in LEO.
Our team has a launch site on Matagorda Peninsula off the coast of Texas. We would like to include our base and mission control stations located there.
We have been in the process of these projects for well over 3 years now and it is time to bring what we can do into reality.
I believe if we can simulate our missions in Orbiter it will help our team get a bit closer to making or efforts reality. Team Prometheus is a non-profit group of individuals working on our own funds and time to make the exploration of space a reality for everyone.
At this point I will be the only one working on making Orbiter work for our cause but if there is anyone here interested in helping and being a part of our team you are indeed welcome to join us!
The stage we are now at is very exciting and some of the things we can simulate are on the verge of being done in reality! So join up and be a part of the fun and excitement of doing something that will help our team do something really worth while.
Thanks and Godspeed
