I was going through a 1970's Eco-horror novel The Dynostar Menace so that I could add the characters to wikipedias 'List of Fictional Astronauts' & I thought that the space-station that the novel centers around would make for a good add-on.
The authors were clearly inspired by Skylab when they had the sketch map I've attached drawn up. It is however also the earliest novel I've seen to feature a space shuttle, albeit one that docks like a Delta Glider.
I've attached an annotated copy of the sketch map to this post, it includes most of the key dimensions as provided in the novel.
I'm reproducing them below as well.
Spacelab Dynostar, Main Dimensions.
1. Main Cylinder: 27m (90ft)L by 7.6m (25ft)D
2. Attached Modules : 11m (35ft)L by by 5.2m (17ft)D (Diameter is a guess, internal dimensions are 8.5m (28ft)L is 3m (10ft)D)
3. Solar Panels 9.1m (30ft)L
4. Dynostar (Fusion Reactor) Ring: 12m (40ft)D
