Here are my proposals for several Star Trek and Babylon 5 vessels for Orbiter. For the record, I have already created the config files for the Star Trek vessels, but I know absolutely nothing about mesh-making (besides changing textures). I also know that many of these vessels have already been created for Celestia, so go ahead and convert the models to MSH files if you can, but don't forget to credit the original authors. Anyway, here are the Star Trek vessels:

Kumari-class Andorian cruiser:

Galor-class Cardassian warship:

Youre probably going to want to start with a copy of Anim8or,

http://www.anim8or.com/

and these tutorials,

[ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2730"]http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2730[/ame]

if you want to mesh them yourself. Someone may be willing to take up the project, but its not a bad idea to learn how to mesh for yourself. There are ways of transferring Celestia meshes to orbiter (I think), but those look painfully high-poly and would run extremely slow in Orbiter. A good approach might be to create low poly versions of those in Anim8or and add the detail in your textures. Once you have a good 3ds file, you can use the 3dstoMsh tool here to convert them to MSH format

Good luck with it if you do decide to give it a try :tiphat:

They are typically high poly (Celestia models converted to Orbiter) but seem to run well IF you use the external graphics clients. The [ame="http://orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=5477"]EAS Cortez[/ame] is actually a converted Celestia mesh.

Well, my computer is normally a pretty high-end one. Unfortunately, the anti-virus program often slows down some of its functions to the point of unplayability.

Oh, by the way, there is an additional Babylon 5 vessel that I would like to see made into an add-on - the Hyperion-class EA cruiser:
