API Question Animating an airlock hatch

With out getting into too much detail. I am trying to animate a hatch opening/closing sequence similar to that of the radial CBMs on the ISS.

the problem is that I'm having a craptacular time figuring out the correct sequence of MGROUP_ROTATEs and MGROUP_TRANSLATEs required to achieve the motion I want.

Has anybody animated something similar?

Barring that does anybody have an example animation of an airlock hatch that opens inward with a minimum of impingement on the airlock's internal volume?
