yes I have noticed that when you create the EVA guys they are above the ground and when you move them they are back on the ground as they should be

this LZ I found is pretty hummocky and you land on a slope. It would work and somewhat close to the South pole. I did drive the SEV south and the terrain starts to deform

I don't think we know right now which would be right as a pilot if you rotated it 90* would be a little better just be sure to move your docking target to align with the Comander's window I think they got thrown into this Artemis 3 mission at the last minute and were not at this point of docking

back in 2010 there was an auto pilot that worked super and did all the deorbit burns and S turns and would land the shuttle at KSC or VBG it was super to watch and track the shuttle back in the day AFCS I think was what it was called
