    Humor Random Comments Thread

Last year when this guy was leading his funding campaign some folks found evidence that he "became" a flat-earther to finish his project. The story was that he was a daredevil and always wanted to do this as a stunt but no one was interested in funding it as a daredevil project. Probably...

    First Interstellar Asteroid Spotted

And probably the first people in line to pay that fortune would be scientists wishing to analyze it!

Project Orbiter MMU (oMMU) development thread

Friendly criticism: I feel like the arms are leaning a bit into the realm of stick-bug appendage. I know it's a slippery slope and you probably don't want her to look like a gorilla, but there must be a happy medium ?

General Question Launching DGIV to orbit as payload

I feel like there used to be an actual specific addon DG booster :hmm: Ah, it was a Velcro rocket. I have no idea if Velcro works with 2016 https://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4669

Installation Orbiter 2016 with D3D9 CTD in all scenarios

Yes there were some corrupted files being distributed when I originally got my copy a few months back. Well, maybe a little different: They wouldn't unzip properly without a special extraction effort, then it appeared fine until I ran it and it was similar- the launch window was fine, choosing...

Launch News SpaceX Falcon Heavy Demo Mission (1330-1630 EST 6th Feb. 2018)

I don't know if this was already posted, but this is the most amazing thing! I'm sure it's still not EXACTLY the same as being there, but I was actually shocked, completely shocked at how much different this is than any recording I've ever heard. You have to wear some decent headphones. I...

Launch News SUCCESS: SpaceX F9 SES 16/GovSat-1 (Wednesday, Jan. 31, at 4:25 p.m. EST/21:25 UTC)

Good for training too. Sort of reminds me :hmm: We have potentially explosive rusty propane tanks show up on our beaches from time to time after storms and I've considered shooting them with long-distance hunting rifles from nearby cliff tops as a potential way of "diffusing" them. Never had...
