Question Where to buy good slide-rule online?

Hello guys, I think this is very suitable place just to ask this question. I'd like to buy a good quality and decent slide rule but I don't know how much does it costs on average, and what brands are generally bought. I tried to search the item in ebay.com but it seems there are just tons of...

Internet Gravity, space movie directed by Alfonso Cuaron. Trailer up!

Yes that's what I am referring to, the messy knots that surrounds Ryan foot. Suppose Ryan is attached to those mess pretty weakly, then I think Kowalski action is justified because it could unravel. He couldn't have known the exact capability of the knots and there's just too much risk involved.

I'm sorry, Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that. And those plants are rice I think. ---------- Post added at 20:32 ---------- Previous post was at 08:41 ---------- Btw I have question guys. Spoilers alert. -------------- I don't understand why people consider the scene where Kowalski...

Speaking of graphics engine, is it possible for Orbiter to have Cryengine?

I think I'll do this exactly. Not only because it's nice, but it's easier also. :) My least favorite part today, UVing.

Not much of an update, I did nothing at the weekend but I've managed to complete the landing gears. She's now practically an airplane. I just need to UV this and then she will be ready to be programmed into Orbiter. My favorite part is actually looking from this angle. The silhouette is just...

    Project XR3 Phoenix (WIP)

Oh this reminds me, your polygon count figure counts the triangle then instead of the quad? So if my model would have 4 quads, then Orbiter will actually see it as having 8 triangles to draw?

    Project XR3 Phoenix (WIP)

I see the point, thanks for explaining it to me! I see another reason why you don't want to have too much tris. Usually I'll just try my best to avoid tris and n-gons in model because there might be some problem with the mesh smoothing later on in the 3d program.

Ah ok, so it's how max displayed them, whereas they are originally quad or n-gon?

I appreciate the calmness of the narrator greatly. It's nice to hear him describing serious events without too much unnecessary emotion and excitement like what you hear everyday in news or even Discovery channels nowadays.

How close are we from DG and XR planes technology?

I really appreciate your response in this matter guys. I also thought that DG must be too good to be true. The thing I'm worried about commercial space project is that, it won't be taken seriously in long term by ordinary investors. There are of course people that might be interested to pay...

Loru I noticed that there are high amount of tris in the mesh, is that somehow created by your 3d modeling package from quads automatically? Or do you intentionally create them?

How close are we from DG and XR planes technology?

In RL things seem a bit dim in my view after the cancellation of shuttle program. The progress with SpaceX planes is promising but then the planes that they have developed are mostly for sub-orbital flights. Costs for launching equipments and satellites in space are also high, that so far only...

Internet Gravity, space movie directed by Alfonso Cuaron. Trailer up!

I think this movie is what brought me to Orbiter. And oh how I like the cockpit of Soyuz. I don't know if it's realistic, but it's pretty detailed cockpit there that even you can see Sandra Bullock's character typing высота = 3 in the MFD, when she tried to deploy the breaking parachute in the...

Good to know that I can let my imagination runs wild. That makes sense. I don't see why fighter aircraft would want to have bright cockpit that can be seen form long distance, and I was previously referring to this kind of flood light. Feels pretty bright there...

Thanks for the information on the cockpit layout. I'll keep the convention in mind for the final design before modeling. The test button should really be there as you said because of it's usefulness. I agree also that it makes a lot more sense to put the interior light control beside the pilot...
