Update: Completed the 3 Grain motor by making the igniter wires and plugging the top with drylock hydraulic cement. This is my first time using cement to plug the end. After recalculating the numbers, this motor will be a G136 Here's the specs:

News from PSFC - New videos on page 2

I wanted to actually shoot something with my new R/C Ignitor, so off to WalMart I went to buy some Estes motors. I bought a 3 pack of C6-3's and a 3 pack of A8-3's. I had a bag of bamboo skewers surplus from my last bottle rocket program, so I taped each motor to a stick and headed down to the...

    Serious butt problem.

I'd say it's highly unlikely that the neighbors would a similar butt, especially not one with a crack with similar dimensions. However it might not hurt to show his neighbors the crack in his butt, just to get their opinion of it.

Just finished my remote control ignitor box! Tested 10 times, works great! I'm using an RC Airplane reciever/transmitter that was originally rated for 1000 yards... I've added this monster antenna that might well double that range. This should give me a very large range of distances for a...

    Is this picture real?

Besides the fact that it obviously looks faked... And besides Urwumpes rock solid editing proof... Here's some other off the wall proof. To get this camera angle, the camera would have had to be located here, and the shuttle would have been 58.4km downrange... Would require quite the...

Please test it out: "AA-Missile 0.95" (Beta)

I installed it to try it out. I didn't have the F15, so I changed the shoot scenario to be a DG instead. Upon starting the scenario, and opening the MFD, the Load key works fine (although it does make the simulator freeze for about 1/2 second while loading the missles...). I'll get...

    Serious butt problem.

Yes, the fiber/resin should be fine for plugging the hole in your butt.

    Serious butt problem.

The crack of your butt looks a little dirty... You might want to clean your butt crack before you fill it.

Orbital math/tiny object orbits - questions

Allow me to correct myself, an unpowered object cannot orbit it, ie: a golf ball....

Orbital math/tiny object orbits - questions

In LEO nothing can orbit anything in any sort of stable manner. When you're inside the sphere of influence of a major body like earth, you won't be able to orbit anything except earth. Take Phobos for example. Get in a delta glider and get a circular orbit around Phobos. Yes, you can...

    Funny ooops moments

After a picture perfect launch of the DeltaGliderIV, I'm waiting in LEO to make my Trans Lunar Injection burn... I brought up IMFD, clicked TGT, and started to type "moon". Apparently I didn't actually have the textbox open because pressing the N key opened the canopy which of course...

    Soyuz TMA-11 Landing

Yea, to ground soyuz would mean abandonment of ISS... Even with a ballistic re-entry as uncomfortable as it is, this problem will be corrected on future vehicles, and would be in no way worth abandoning the (trillions?) of dollars spent to get the space station to where it is today...

    Two questions about windowed mode.

The sound thing would require a re-write on OrbiterSound to play the audio when the app is not focused... V-sync wouldn't be applicable to windowed mode, but you shouldn't see tearing... Maybe something to do with ATI or drivers, i've got nvidia and it works great. You may have better luck...

    OMP Discussion

The .NET stuff is working great for me. We should finish that wrapper sometime... (wishing I had more time to help... that's tedious work)

    Would you go into space?

I definetely would take the chance in any way shape or form. Here's a question (though a bit morbid)... If a modern day funeral costs $10,000, for the same price, would you rather have yourself cremated and launched into space for eternity? I'm thinking a moon shot... High velocity impact on...

    Soyuz TMA-11 Landing

They just updated the story's 2nd line from U.S. astronaut among 3 on capsule which lands hundreds of miles off-course to Report: U.S. astronaut safe after capsule lands hundreds of miles off-course I guess they no longer care about the other 2... oh and the "breaking story" line was removed...
