Hey ISProgram!
Sorry mate, it's been tooooo long, almost a year)) I got a lot of work...
How is your Aquarius B1 vehicle? is it still in developing stage?
If you got some questions about rocket structure / engine design - let me know.
Better hit me with email - philsmith29990 "at" yahoo.com ...
Playing with Orbiter beta.
Just above the Everest..
I can tell you one thing - even this current release is full of bugs and fatal errors, 3d landscape takes me away - gosh - it's amazing!
oops, I just looked at my screen at different angle (from side, when colors on the display changes little bit) and I saw the ball!)) it's there, just very dark - so when you look straight - it's black, but from left/right/top side - its dark silhouette appears)) So I guess it's probably glitch...
Thank you guys!
Align Plane II V1.2 is pretty cool on paper so I've downloaded and installed Orbiter 2006 and it's works, but ball doesn't load.. (see screenshot below)
I guess the ball itself is a 3-d mesh but there ain't no mesh file in the archive I've downloaded from orbiter-hangar (just...
Hey guys! :tiphat:
I wonder if is there any Attitude Indicator (old school version, like Apollo or Gemini had) or something like a Kerbal space program's NavBall?
It would be great to have such MFD (special in some SimPit) like this:
As far as I know, guys from NASSP mega-addon could do...
Dziękuję bardzo!))
I tried it with my Samsung Galaxy phone and Asus 8" tablet - it works great!
One more question - when I start the Orbiter there are 2 mfd's by default with 5900 and 5901 ports respectively - so how can I create more mfd's (5902, 5903, etc) for example for 4 or 6 mfd setup...
Hey guys!
First off, I wanna thank kamaz for his great job!
I've been starting to thing about a simpit so I took your scheme as a start point:
I have a few questions about external mfd's
1) I'm a noob in programming and orbiter addon developing , so I wanna ask you is there a...
left "short" version is J-2 right? so first of all we calculate expansion ratios and then Isp's.
For the left one:
e = D_exit^2 / D_throar^2 = 2.39^2 / 0.47^2 = 25.6;
if it's J-2, say chamber pressure is 763 psi, O/F = 5
Isp(RPA) = 430 sec
Isp(real) = 421 sec
Pressure at the nozzle exit -...
yeah baby! I've adjusted specific impulses little bit and BINGO!
all parameters are within V-2 flight data range.:hailprobe:
Fixed version of the excel file:
https://app.box.com/s/b242o0sms6qz5f2oozxu
LH2 / LF2 combination gives highest Isp value (among liquid bi-propellants), but in real life fluorine is TOO toxic adn TOO active (cause it's the highest performance oxidiser) and TOO dangerous to handle (http://www.astronautix.com/props/lf2lh2.htm ). As far your project is for paper and...
you need "estimated delivered performance" table.
According wiki ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocketdyne_J-2 ) I used: O/F = 5.5, Ae/At (expantion area ratio) = 27.5 and 763 psi of chamber pressure.
So after solving the problem I've got 429.83 sec of vacuum Isp - little bit higher than J-2...
Hey everybody!)
Oh boy, finally gathered enough info about V-2 missile and optimize calculations, but with Excel - MatLab didn't wanna compute em right desperately so I decided to create an excel spread sheet(s) for this purpose.
So results really look nice. I've attack my .xlsx file if you'd...
Hey!:hello:
LN is just natural logarithm - Natural logarithm - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It can be easily computed with windows calculator (example - https://www.riskprep.com/blog/73-using-the-windows-calculator )
You should divide M0 and M1 not subtract, so:
deltaV for first stage =...
First off - my congratulations about reaching the orbit! + this big elliptical one shows you have extra deltaV budget so you can increase your payload mass if you will.
About skin thickness.
saturn V tanks (on first and second stages) was made of 2 inch thick 2219-T87 aluminum slab that is...
i'm not a pro addon developer either, but as I see on your screen #2 it's a first moment of second stage firing? if so, you had very steep trajectory - 302 km is quite high altitude for first stage cut-off - it's should be around 80-110 km range in your case.
Unfortunately, if the current 2nd...
