All of that works fine. Not only doesn't XRSound apply my configuration file to the GenericVehicle vessel, but it doesn't even create an instance for it in the log file (i.e. "XRSoundDLL::GetXRSoundEngineInstance: creating new XRSoundEngine instance for vessel" doesn't exist in the log file for...
I want to create a configuration file for a GenericVehicle vessel, but it seems like it isn't identified by XRSound 2.0 for some reason. It doesn't even exist in the log file. Any ideas why is that? No issues with Orbiter Sound.
Also, is it possible to release XRSound 3.0 for Orbiter 2016? I...
It's a G42 issue, not a UCSO one. I found the issue in the code but since I am traveling, I can't fix it now. I will fix it once I am back home (should be after 2 weeks).
Nope, this code is correct. The issue is that once in cargo mode, I don't listen to the Shift+C command anymore (there is no...
The problem is that there is a bug in Orbiter 2016 that prevents the vessel from resting on the ground even if fully stopped. This will cause the vessel to do funny stuff with time acceleration, as Orbiter assumes the vessel is still moving, not landed. This bug was fixed in Orbiter Beta.
To...
You are welcome! Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do about that since I have little to no experience in 3D modeling. The good news is that the burner engage knob isn't used that much (it's set once to MAX before takeoff), and the attitude control reference knob isn't implemented yet.
Version 1.1.1 was released (should have announced for versions 1.1 and 1.0.1, but whatever). It fixes some bugs and gives some freedom, with more assertive behavior if UCSO isn't installed. The full changelog is available at the GitHub repository. Download from OHM.
Thanks! It's actually dbeachy1's idea, so thanks to him!
Face's SoundBridge is from Orbiter Sound to XRSound, whereas my Sound Bridge OS is from XRSound to Orbiter Sound, basically the other way around.
Sound Bridge OS is a sound bridge from XRSound to Orbiter Sound, allowing vessels and MFDs that use XRSound to work on Orbiter Sound.
You must install XRSound default sounds to have sound files. Simply download XRSound and extract the ‘XRSound’ folder only (not the whole file) directly into the...

Great! But you should have messing sounds actually
Some sounds (above 60) won't play such as wheel rolling on the ground, wheel brakes, and others. This issue can't be solved due to Orbiter Sound limitations, as detailed in the manual.
It should work with version 5 and any later version...
Attached below is a test version of the XRSound to Orbiter Sound bridge. It's called SoundBridgeOS. Compiled against XRSound 2.0 and Orbiter Sound 5.0 with Orbiter 2016 SDK.
Would be great to get some feedback before release. Read the manual in the Doc folder.
I think I can do this. You should see it coming out soon. But you still have to download XRSound and install the default sound set to have the sound themselves, shouldn't be too hard to do. Also, any vessel with more than 60 sounds won't have the sounds more than 60 played.
Indeed. But one problem with Orbiter Sound is that it only allows 60 sounds per vessel, so that's why I won't use it in the next version of G42-200 Starliner, as it has more than 60 sounds. This might be a problem for other add-on developers too.
Dynamic Orbiter Sound is a dynamic wrapper for Orbiter Sound. It allows dynamically built vessels to use Orbiter Sound without having to build statically against Orbiter Sound.
Orbiter Sound must be installed before using it.
