Here's some news from the ELA4 site (for Ariane 6)
I've finished the two "blocks" (or mini-masts) located on the launch pad.
As you can see, the hatch closes and the connections retract into the block.
This happens automatically at liftoff ;)
(thanks again to BrianJ who made it almost...
Hi
I just noticed an anomaly with the shadow display
Here are two screenshots with the camera set to "ground"
1) Focus on the "umbilical mast"
2) Focus on the "rocket"
You see the difference ? ;)
I don't know if anyone else has noticed this...
Hi
I'm still working on the Ariane6's umbilical mast : there are still a few details missing.
Of course, thanks to BrianJ who explained how to do the dll : the arms and umbilicals fold automatically during takeoff...
Yes, I made the "hole" with elev_mod tiles.
I used Tileedit.exe, but it wasn't easy...
I'm not sure I can do it again... 😓
@gargantua : Glad to see my ELS site still working...
Oh... Yes, it is strange...
You dont't change Multistage.dll ?
You said you're with Orbiter 2016... It seems like in Orbiter 2024...
Is it a new install of Orbiter 2016 ?
Have you "create the links" in "Orbiter Server Launchpad" => Video tab, then "advanced" then "create symbolic links"...
Here's where I am with the modeling of the new mast:
Beginning of the mast texture (no details yet)
The shape of the arm becomes clearer, but remains a "simple" volume.
The jaws are not yet animated, and there is no texture
@BrianJ :
I tried adding animations for the jaws at the ends of...
OUF !!! 😅
Hi
So I decided to redo the Ariane 6 rocket launch mast
( this mast wasn't mine, but Eddy's).
For the moment, it's a bit bare:
no texture
no details.
And thanks to BrianJ who is helping me with the DLL allowing the arms to open and the umbilicus to be disconnected, I have:
added...
:hailprobe:
You mean... for Orbiter 2024???
Because currently, Multistage2015 doesn't work well with OpenOrbiter.
(Matias is working on it)
So I need to:
modify the rockets' "ini" file (to work with actual multistage2015 and its bugs)
change the animated buildings from Spacecraft3 or...
Hi
Just a personal message to BrianJ, but I'm making it public to thank him:
I added an additional umbilicus to my launch mast on the ELA-4 site. (for my Ariane 6)
Since the animation (automatic during rocket lift off) is controlled by a DLL (that BrianJ made for me), adding this third...
So I had fun doing a few tests that might interest you...
First, to see the effect of the "flt" file, I set the height to 1000 (which is excessive).
1) First test:
All Surf Mask Elev files and the FLT file in my Orbiter 2024:
It works, but this is normal..
2) Second test:
All Surf...
Ok thank you !
That's clear ! ;)
Thank you for your answers.
I'll take this opportunity to ask another question... 🙄
I'm updating my French Guiana tiles (I'm finalizing soon (?) my ELA4 add-on and my Ariane6 rocket adapted for Openorbiter 2024)
and all my tiles weigh 680 MB.
I...
Hi
Just a simple question.
With OpenOrbiter 2024, I know that we can use another folder for the "earth" textures, such as another installation of Orbiter,
which allows you to avoid having several large files.
For me, I use the Hires textures installed in an Orbiter 2016.
With in the...
