You can't just open a .dll file and edit them properly, you'd need to edit the sources then recompile the .dll to do that. This thread from a few months ago covers the same problem http://www.orbiter-forum.com/showthread.php?t=17672
Maybe something like this fairing would be better? it's not the best model ever but you should be able to get the idea :P
edit: I just added a quick texture to the thing and smoothed it out some more
A active VC is planned for the XR2 MKII though you can still use the static VC in the XR 2 by pressing the F8 key :thumbup: I don't think there's one planned for the XR-5 though
It sounds like you might have an addon installed that's using the oapi debug string function, do you still get it after disabling all the plugins you have installed? and :welcome: back to Orbiter!
You'll still need some basic C++ knowledge to make Orbiter addons so it'll be a good idea to finish going through the tutorials on that site. The Orbiter SDK guide and reference is a nice place to start making Orbiter addons and so are the examples in the samples folder of the SDK.
You could try adding system("PAUSE"); before the return 0 that should stop it closing until you press a key. it's probably not the best way to do it but it works fine :thumbup:

I believe the only reason the hornet mesh was removed because it isn't Loru's, it's from this addon though so you should be able to add it again by just sticking
