Bug donation not registered, not received?

Hi, on 4th of Nov, I made a donation that is said unconfirmed on the donation thread. But PayPal took actually my 30€ for you. I used the "Contact us" form in the footer to warn you but got no reaction. Can you confirm the money arrived at orbiter-forum.com?

Challenge Olympus base to Phobos surface (next multi-user events)

Yeah! Here is a nice tuto: formation flying from yesterday with Orbinaut Mile, a.k.a. Cosmitaur, from Mars' low orbit (400km) to Phobos (10'000km away). It's a very short flight (30mn for the main part) but a rather long video. I think it is interesting to learn about a brachistochrone...

Challenge Olympus base to Phobos surface (next multi-user events)

Just a bit of explanation about the cancelled "butterflies flight" event at the Moon. OMP v2.5 was too unstable and did not allow the transfer of a vessel while thrusting. But the very aim of OrbiterX experiment is to travel at 1G over millions of kilometers (with unlimited fuel at the moment)...

    OHM Nex'Orbiter with OMX

It does not happen every time. For people interested in troubleshooting network issue, a detailed report of this issue is given in the gitlab here. I'm also here to support some investigation or make additional tests. In the meantime, we'll keep going with this risk of disconnection (it's the...

    OHM Nex'Orbiter with OMX

Help! Actually ORBIX is fully alive with all hosted vessels functional. Is there any way to re-connect to the server (even manually) with the same IP, same port(?), and then restore the previous status as seen from the server?

    OHM Nex'Orbiter with OMX

Here is a quick start guide, to take into OMX and its current implementation OrbiterX as a persistent universe (still highly epxerimental, you may lose your vessels): Connect at orbiterx.obspm.fr, with the User name you want and password "toto" (then, I can remove a zombie, if any) Select your...

    Nex'Orbiter with OMX Nex'Orbiter with OMX v1.1.1

New era in Orbiter Multi-Player for a persistent universe. Warnings: These OMX v.1.x.x versions are part of a series of Alpha versions. If you are not an advanced Orbiter user, you may feel discouraged. Please, come back later for Beta versions. Advanced users shall make sure to use a vanilla...

    Project MoonBaseAlpha for 2016

Why not building an spherical floor (radius = Moon's radius = 1736.7km) in your mesh design tool and, on this reference floor, you would adjust the heights of the parts of the station. If the height is too high somewhere, add there some high walls around to make sure they go down to the lunar...

Base Moon Village, partially buried base + Pads

Correct. The red shows a finished habitat, the blue is in process to be covered. ESA's illustration wants to show the 3D-printing technology for in-situ shielding with regolith. Look at the "tiny" autonomous printer on the side: I was thinking that a slope of regolith that covers the...

    Discussion Improved (Tesseral) Gravity Model

What is interesting here is the eccentricity value: it goes down to zero and increases again, then back to zero... i.e. pulsating somehow between a circular and moderately elliptical orbit... I'm also wandering if the "kill rot" is on, because it's hard to interpret the outside view (with x1000...

Base Moon Village, partially buried base + Pads

very promising.... I think of moving a docking system along a rail, when a vessel is already docked... I initially thought this could be done already with the current animation features. Will take a look when I'm done with my current OMX add-on...

Base Moon Village, partially buried base + Pads

This idea of airlock is cool in itself. The habitat is becoming great and in line with the 2020 suggestion, but not compatible with a buried habitat, which is the most realistic option for a Moon Village.

Base Moon Village, partially buried base + Pads

Suddenly I'm realizing that this module is not intended to be partially buried to be protected from radiation.... sorry for not reacting earlier, but this option seems an old option, isn't it? I think this habitat baseline is more adapted to shielding with additive manufacturing (Fig.10-6 vs...

Base Moon Village, partially buried base + Pads

Do you have in mind some animation to transform from folded to unfolded shape? I think it is cool but not the priority... Same about the launcher: let's do not care of it now, when Brighton Beach was designed, we were happy to have this base... how could it be deployed is another story ;)

Base Moon Village, partially buried base + Pads

It's an "old" update (2020) but thank you for so much detail! I took the pics in a recent call to tender for industry.

Base Moon Village, partially buried base + Pads

Here are some ESA pictures for Moon Village (credit ESA - P. Carril). If somebody gets inspired to build new type of buildings in a Lunar base at the South pole for O2016, it would be really great to support new highly topical scenarios: I guess a structure under a hill of regolith, with a...
