I made them with the website/app readyplayerme which is usually used for VR chat avatars or developers for video games. To be honest, I didn't think of the terms of services until you mentioned it so I checked and it seems fine.
I also redid the inside of the greenhouse. Probably added a lot of geometry for something that was really not worth it x)
And yes, we only eat carrots on Europa! That's what I came up with when trying to think of the simplest vegetable to model lol (to limit the additional polys!). Though now...
The fuel pumps are done! And the distilleries by using my favourite base design technique: just use a regular module and pretend everything is hidden inside lol.
Buying fuel at the fuel pump.
Another update (and likely final for today, I do want to do other stuff too! x) ) for the base: First, I added some emissive lighting inside the greenhouse. Now, it looks like two LED panels are lighting it up.
It's not very visible during the day. But at night? Oulala!
I also changed the...
I agree with you. So that's what I did.
For my first ever greenhouse modelled, I really like the result!
Now next up is to make the pumps that melt the ice and suck up the water, and the "distilleries" (or whatever they are called) that convert water into rocket fuel! And after, only the...
I don't think I did, I don't know how to change it. Where is that setting?
Also I should specify the lag only happens on Europa. I mean, I didn't try it out on every other body, but I know it doesn't glitch on Earth or the Moon.
So, I did reduce the number of modules back to the original one. I also remodelled the "spherical" modules. Now, they are textured to look like inflatable modules. I decided to implement Boxx's idea of the "tower" being closer to the pad with a cupola by putting a second round module on top of...
Err... is that even possible? How do you even do a floating base you can actually land on? I mean, it would sure be cool, but I have no idea how that is even possible.
Not bad for an AI! I have a better idea how to design bases for all these moons now.
In all honesty: I don't know how to make...
Hello!
At the beginning of the summer, I made 4 bases for the moon: Sword Edge, Moscoviense, Armstrong Station and Yuegong.
I don't want to stop there. I want to make at least one base for every planetary system of the Solar System (excluding Venus). So one on Mercury, one (or two) on Mars...
I manually painted the tile (because I couldn't figure out Match Colour properly, the attempt I did wasn't great lol) to help bridge the edges of colours between my tiles and the vanilla ones, and I think it does look better. It's still not perfect, but it doesn't really stand out at first...
I would certainly be grateful if you could give me the background tile :)
The tiles are for a base I'm planning to make, which is located at +81.770523 +19.403215
About here:
Unfortunately I don't have the original tile (I have no idea how to extract them from the original file), which is the real problem here, otherwise I could have blended them well together. I never did the Match Color way though, so that's something I'll keep in mind in the future ;)
I turned some ice from Northern Quebec into nice Europa tiles. And apart from the painted-in linea that goes through the tiles, I think it looks very good! Just wish it blended in a bit better with the tiles around it though :/
The original tiles, found on Google Earth at 54°15'0.15"N...
Damn with textures the palm trees look amazing! Really wanna see what the other trees will look like. At this rate I'll be updating Quebec soon for this 👀
Well this link here give you a useful map where you can click on a part of the map and get the corresponding tiles from: https://mirror.orbiter-radio.uk/orbiter/assets/earth.html
I use Keyshot to do sick renders of race car liveries I design for simracing games (some examples). A few days ago, I got into my mind to render full character animations. So, I did this.
lmao
