    Hello, everyone.

Welcome. You'll find loads of youtube tutorials on it, even though the learning curve is quite steep. Don't worry, that feeling of satisfaction when you first manage to fly up to the ISS and dock is amazing. Perhaps only seconded by stuff like aerobraking around Jupiter :D

Welcome. It's a nice community, and also a great time to be playing Orbiter. I've seen it evolve over the years, and there is some quite fascinating stuff happening, now with it being open source and stuff like realistic clouds and the inside of space stations making their way into the game.

For the glasses, it really depends. I supposedly needed them , but went without most of the time. Then, two years ago , I took up smoking, as my gf was smoking too, and, for some reason, once I had a few smokes, I could barely read a text on the smartphone. Got some standard glasses, of the...

Speaking of linguistic differences....a few years back, I was driving home one summer evening, when I stumble upon a car going wrong way on a narrow one way street. I flash the lights, honk shortly, he doesn't seem to realise he's on a wrong way street. So, I sort of try to maneuver to let him...

Gaming Kerbal Space Program 2 (currently in Early Access)

Just realised that the original designer of KSP, HarvesteR, was on Orbiter forum. There's a news article detailing how he left a while ago due to a disagreement with Squad over the direction of KSP2. He also names Orbiter as the gold standard in space simulation 😁...

Gaming Kerbal Space Program 2 (currently in Early Access)

I miss the good old days when downloading something meant actually downloading the game. Had to get EpicGames launcher. Then said launcher simply said it won't run on this machine. Regardless of the fact that I have some extra RAM in a drawer somewhere that I could use. Regardless of the fact...

Well, at least it's still german. Breton, for example sounds like another language. Patois kinda sounded like a weird subtype of french, but, then again, patois is such a wide term that I couldn't possibly know what I was hearing exactly. But both seem to go, at least to the untrained ear...

I'm almost certain this was posted before, either here or on some SpaceX discussion, but anyways... DC-X. The Starship SSTO that wasn't to be. Despite the clusterf**k at Twitter etc, Musk did get one thing right: having a continuously running production line for the motors etc means you can test...

    hey everyone

Welcome. You may be a noob, but all of us have been so at one time, and the game is awesome. It's a good time to get started on Orbiter. You'll find tutorial scenarios and also YouTube vids detailing most of the aspects. Don't be surprised if orbital physics is a bit ...different to what one...

Well, gloves and hat mandatory, but probably not that different otherwise. Unless you're on a roadbike 😂. Nice bike path too
