    The most striking aspect of Luna 3 is the solar panels. Quite advanced for its time. The HF-FAX ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiofax ) like image broadcast system was also clever.

    Short OT comment - Many of Moonbase Alpha vessels work in 2016 with some tweaking to scenarios. The Eagle is fun to fly with real terrain. But not too much to do without astronauts or cargo to move around.

    About orbits and Multistage: I've had similar problems with Multistage. Hard to track down the source of the problem (not shuttle specific). Adding 10% more fuel ( or 10% less mass) usually solves any issues... But a suborbital trajectory seem correct. The shuttle had diferent launch profiles...

    Agreed, and to be expected. But some sort of update would be good. Even if it was a soviet style "all parameters normal".

I think it's this one: https://archive.org/details/demo211 I wonder if this could be made to run inside Orbiter and control a virtual Soyuz (much like the Apollo computer with NASSP) Of course it's not from 7K-T but...

    The Apollo guys were able to orient the capsule using a sextant. Satellites and probes use star trackers. Of course, this forces you to make night observations after landing.

    You can get that effect using the D3D9 debug settings. Select that mesh group and use the Metalness shader. Try values for Smoothness and Metalness around 0.97. The CM "cone" is basically smooth metal, almost a mirror. So you want values close to 1.0

    Aren't fuel tanks handled by Orbiter's API ? You don't need to add any custom code, unless you want implement fuel mix or something like that.
