Paul Schenk has published his Triton maps:
https://repository.hou.usra.edu/handle/20.500.11753/1352
They might be useful to improve Triton terrain and surface in Orbiter. The global maps is 14165 x 7083; topography is 6493 x 2636.
The same author has released similar datasets for other moons (...
@Urwumpe That stuff is way beyond me, but it would be great if you could "translate" mass/aerodynamic parameters from there.
I think I modeled all of the aerodynamic surfaces as separate mesh groups ;)...
Yes, it was discussed as a possible part of the Kourou/Ariane addon. I'd welcome that!
I don't care much about licences. My orbiter specific conditions are explained in the description:
"You'll be credited as co-author on a future release. Likewise, if you complete and release it, list me...

Indeed the direct link is not working, and GitHub only downloads uncompiled code. (n)
Sharing a version I have found on my machine: VesselBuilder1_PreRelease (from 2020). I think it's the latest one.
I had this around for a while and I'm sure there are a few bugs with animations or lights.
But decided to release it because it's functional enough to land, launch and fly around ;)
As this is a VesselBuilder vessel, feel free to improve it and share any new configurations here.
Didn't see any way of changing the category, so simply removed it and uploaded it again as "Spacecraft". Problem fixed (y)
I'm still happy with the overall process, especially with the server's fast response. Very good :salute:
A WIP update of the old Spacecraft.dll based addon, now implemented in VesselBuilder (required).
Operation:
Use Orbiter standard controls for RCS, Main, Retro and Hover engines.
[ALT]+ = Toggle All Beacons
[CTRL]+[L] = Toggle Next Light Emitter
[SHIFT] + G ; [CTRL]+[SHIFT] + G = Landing Gear...
4throck submitted a new addon:
Dragonfly (Libellule) shuttle for Orbiter 2016, VesselBuilder version - Dragonfly (Libellule) shuttle from "Once Upon a Time… Space (Il était une fois… l'Espace)"

Indeed I seemed to have missed marking it as "spacecraft". Uploading to the parent category doesn't make sense, so yes, you should restrict it.
Is there any way I can change the category to spacecraft on my end? It not, no problem I can delete it and reupload ;-)
A question: how long does it take for a new addon to have its own forum discussion thread?
I uploaded https://www.orbiter-forum.com/resources/dragonfly-libellule-shuttle-for-orbiter-2016-vesselbuilder-version.5442/ yesterday, but so far no thread under...
Tried the new system to upload a new addon and it works great! Very intuitive, fast, and smooth. Really liked it (y)
Nice dropdown for the version, that's really the way to go!
Why? Unless you want to specifically control how things are used, or want to give particular rights to others, it doesn't matter.
Just try to give proper attribution and explain what you have done on the readme file.
I had an instance where someone complained that I had rotated their mesh...
These addons are for Orbiter 2016 beta ONLY.
On the regular 2016 version you get exaggerated elevation...
The only fix is to copy back the original or HD Moon terrain from Orbiter 2016 installation.
(HD moon was available from here...
Thanks! I stopped creating addons because without universal crew and cargo flying is boring. I realized that when I adapted Constellation to 2016 - I had to remove crew and cargo, ending up with a lifeless addon.
I tried to program some astronauts myself, but soon realized that it would take...
You are imagining that there's a community working for the "greater good" - the benefit you mention. It was a bit like that in the past (from 2006/16) but not right now.
For many reasons, what you have now are individuals that share their personal work with others. This work is mostly...
Limit it to the description field and there should be no problems. Most  seem to be followed by a space, so perhaps you can try to match " " first.
The new OH is great and works as expected! :salute: Great to have Orbiter downloads there, it really helps to have everything in one place...
