Thank you for replying The only option you mention that was still turned on was the enhance pointer precision, i'll turn it off and try again. edit : unfortunately didn't changed the problem. The difficulty in finding what exactly cause this is difficult, because i can switch between windows...

Problem Mouse pointer turning invisible ?

Hello Testing Orbiter 2016 and the latest dx9 client with Orbiter_NG.exe I play windowed as i like to read ships and procedure manuals and tutorials while playing, so it's easy to me to just click on pdf/browser that are behind my Orbiter window instead of ALT-TAB if i was full screen. But...

    Update XR1 1.9 / XR2 1.4 / XR5 1.7 D3D9-Ready Versions Released

I have a question about as i use the DX7 version of Orbiter and not the DX9 client because i use some addons that are not compatible with it. Am i going to run into troubles with the new XR "D3D9-Ready" releases while playing with DX7 and should i just keep using the XR version i have instead ?

    Getting to know the Ravenstar:)

It worked, Nice ascent, i liked the part in which you accepted to lose a bit of altitude to stay under 55km altitude, good trick to keep most scram efficiency and have increased speed. I will have to try that to see if it can spare more fuel. I noticed in the release candidate thread of the...

    Getting to know the Ravenstar:)

After figuring out where the download button was on your link, i noticed you uploaded a .scn (your replay file i guess ?) But you didn't uploaded the flight datas (in the Flight folder you have a sub folder that have the same name as the replay file), without the flight datas, you can view this...

    Getting to know the Ravenstar:)

That's a great improvement. If it can help, it seems i refined my method a bit and managed to get a (roughly) 230x230 km while having a bit more than 62% main fuel left. Here it is : Take off Full engine at 100km/h with Attitude Hold autopilot set to pitch 50 degree, then Gear Up. Wait until...

    Getting to know the Ravenstar:)

Learn something new everyday is always good, i was so persuaded it was gravity pull that i didn't double checked :) Anyways back to fuel sparring attempts, i tried the 200x200 orbit challenge and managed 61.2 % at an orbit of 206x202 km Replay is there : http://www.sendspace.com/file/es0xl2...

    XR2 replacing DGIV (poll)

It's a matter of preference, for me it's the XR-2 that i use in most of my Orbiter flights. The DG-IV is always a very good ship, but i prefer the XR-2. At first it was the 3D cockpit of the XR-2 that got it my preference. Even if it's non-functionning yet , it allows for a nice immersivity...

    Getting to know the Ravenstar:)

Yes, the challenge is : -start from default settings for XR-2 (start from "Ready for take off to ISS" default Ravenstar mission is the best conditions for this) -Ascent and get a circular orbit (at least roughly circular) while having in the end as much Main engine fuel remaining as possible...

    Getting to know the Ravenstar:)

Yes, it's great fun to see how much you can optimise your ascents when tweaking your own methods, additionally you learn a little bit more each time too and can get interesting procedures from other Orbiter pilots ;)

    Getting to know the Ravenstar:)

Congratulations on this attempt ! Very interesting replay, spotted a few things you did that will be very usefull to try improve my ascents. Impressive to see that your XR-2 burning in extrenal view during most of the ascent ;) ---------- Post added at 10:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at...

    Getting to know the Ravenstar:)

That's great to know the XR-2 is regulating the Scram temperature automatically, when the XR-2 voice always started to warn me in panic, i was always shutting down Scram as soon as possible to avoid disaster.
