An adaptation of the Arrow Freighter for Orbiter 2016 was released a few months ago, here : Arrow Freighter for Orbiter2016. Merry Christmas!
Otherwise, Dark Energy addon is making me really happy at the moment !
Hi! I've been trying to join you, but unfortunately, activating OMPClient in the Modules tab doesn't show the new dialog with 2.4.1 - but it does if I install the standard 0.8 version of OMP...
Starting a fresh install on WIN 11, I have a "TEMP" and "FAN" green gpu labels showing on the top left corner, as soon as the sim is running with D3D9. Any idea how to disable it ?
Thank you for the reading! At first glance, this is far more advanced than my own understanding of physics and programming. But I'll have a deeper look at your code, and pyKep, it's always instructive. In your opinion, would it be simpler with IMFD ?
Hi! With everything going on the forum, it made me go back to my original idea for this little script, in order to easily export a vessel status to Gmat. I'm not a programmer, so it's definitely dirty code, but I finally ended up with a first result I'm happy to share. I finally changed my mind...
I spared myself the full video before any successful try... Indeed, it works perfectly to wait a bit more and to reset it! Thank you very much, it solves it
.
Hi @dgatsoulis, thank you very much for this fun challenge ! On my way to find a repeatable solution, I'm having an issue with the DG lander. With the proper NAV frequencies set, I do not capture the VOR signal from Brighton beach even within the 500km range (vertical, and horizontal), neither...
This makes totally sense, VS is indeed really close to 0, or even positive if you have not perform a prior deorbit burn. I intuitively thought that the downward facing was actually controlled during descent phase but as you said, Hover MFD is not meant to be used for orbital operations. I will...
Yes I definetely agree with it ! Tinkering with the MFD this is something I had the occasion to try and you're right, it seems to be the most efficient in hover mode. Indeed, as you mentionned, you do not encounter this kind of issue with Tailsit or Heli mode since the AP is too busy correcting...
Thank you very much for your answer! It's nice to see this forum living :).
So, I understood it correctly : active, it tells the AP to brake in order to stop at the target set. We're good on that.
Actually, this is quite the contrary I'm observing, but the rest of your answer explains it. I...
Hi! After many sessions with this MFD, I realize I just used it wrong, because it is not clear to me how Horizontal speed is handled. The way I used it was : standard deorbit, enable Travel Distance and VS to target, wait until Brake rate = 90%, enable Hor. Speed at current speed, brake. But...
At least this is how I interpret Gmat's documentation..
