You know you're addicted to Orbiter when...

^
HA HA HA HA !!!!!!! :) :)

While watching an orbiter video over the internet you hit F1 to change view.

Or you play orbiter so much that you forget what specific key does what, you just instinctually press the correct keys to get stuff done.
I think I actually do that sometimes! When someone comes to me with a question about Orbiter, I'll sometimes think "Oh that's easy, you just press... umm... which one is it again?..." :P This usually happens more often with MFD buttons than keys though. I know exactly which MFD button to press while in Orbiter, but when trying to help someone while out of Orbiter I just can't think of the name or the location of the button.

The most usual one i do is trying to go into internal view whilst playing EVE-Online, and move the camera with the wrong mouse button.

Not too much though, you 'd spin out of control and end up in the middle of nowhere, spinning frenetically...
"Okay kids, we're going to make a stop at this rest stop here, let me just speed time up a bit... Whoops... Well, we're out of fuel and spinning frantically towards the center of the galaxy. Who wants to play another game of I Spy?"

When you are driving and think: "Why is the Tank empty? I switched off Limited Fuel!"

When you ram your car into your garrage door because you thought there was no collision detection.

When you wear a sweater and long pants to visit the beach because you think it is going to be 15 degrees celsius.

When you use a tape measure to measure the distace between your eyes and the moniter so you can set the field of view just right.

The first one made me laugh out loud!

When your wife catches you wearing your motorcycle helmet with the
face shield down while sitting at your computer.

Just kidding... my face shield was up. I had just made a perfect landing.

ROFLMAO!!!
:rofl::rofl:

When you contact Fernbank museum and see how much it would cost to rent the IMAX theater for a day to experience orbiter on a 50 foot x 72 foot screen with 12000 watts of sound. :)

When somebody reads a post like that...and then wonders how much the rental fee is.:hmm:

You'll probably need a monster graphics card to get a nice resolution on that screen. Perhaps 4 Nvidia GeForce 9800 GX2s?

To acheive similar resolution to a standard 2k digital cinema you would need around 6500 x 4500 horizontal resolution, based on 35mm vs IMAX film stock dimensions. 4 cards effectively covering 3250x2250 each? It could be an interesting experiment. ;)

When you create prayers dedicated to the probe, and translate them into Latin. lol

When you run from store to store in order to find Furry Dicez

When you are preparing to drive up to your driveway, but decide to attempt an aerobraking maneuver to enter a stable orbit, which results in the mailbox being run over by your car.

When you feel the urge to make a strong pot of coffee every time you see something that reminds you of Orbiter. (I don't know why, but I drink coffee like it's going out of style when I play Orbiter. I'm also guilty of this with FS.)

When you're about to drive up a fairly steep hill and worry about pulling too many G's.
