Got a Learjet 35A from Sketchup. No way to contact the Author.I have a An8, a 3DS and a MSH. file. No undercarriage though and no textures. Not sure on the scale, but that can be corrected.

Still get a CTD

I did disable my joystick in the Orbiter main screen. Then I plug it out. It is an Logitech Extreme USB joystick. I still get a CTD.
Any suggestions?

Maybe an incompatibility problem with the driver then ? The weird thing is that you don't have the same problem with another addon... :idk:

yes, it is weird. But which driver then? It is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate.

Ah, I use WinXP, so I will be of little help there :shrug:

But I don't see what can be related to a joystick problem in the addon. The base template of the code is Artlav's SC3/C++ converter.

Maybe I could try to disable completely the RCS control interface, I think there is a function like that in the API. I doubt it will solve your problem, but that doesn't cost anything to try...

Okay so I haven't played around with this add on a lot but both times I have the same things has happened.

After a while of climbing I pull it into a stall just for fun and all of the sudden everything is missing. The plane is missing, the earth is missing, there is no information on the HUD, all thats left is a field of stars.


Whats going on?

Can you be a little more specific ?

At which altitude this happened, log file...

I tried to climb as much as possible and stalled completely at 16 kilometers of altitude, and nothing special happened.

yeah, sorry. I would have posted the log before but all this happened last night and I wasn't thinking of it.

It doesn't seem to happen at any particular altitude. I did it this time right after take off.

"Everything disappearing except the stars" sounds like NaNspace (not sure of the spelling).

It happens a bit in LOLA MFD where there's a division by zero in the code, you're happily doing your stuff then bang - everything disappears and you're in NaNspace. MFDs like Orbit MFD give you wacky readings like ##! for altitude.

No idea why, it's just what I've heard!

That could be a division by zero error, since the engine power is defined by a formula involving the dynamic pressure and the atmospheric pressure.

So I guess that if you perfectly stall (dynamic pressure = 0) at high altitudes (very low density), there can be issues. I'll add something that prevents the formula being computed when one of the parameters = 0, just to be sure...

This was working well in Orbiter 2006 until this 1.4 update. Its now invisible.

Orbiter 2010P1 is required for this addon, as shown in Orbithangar. The v1.4 added local lights, that are not existing in the Orbiter 2006 API.

Do you want the LearJet model I posted earlier ?. I,ve almost finished the textures, Ive gone for a camaflage effect ,they are from Photos, You of course can texture it how you like. If you don,t then I am wasting my time. as I don,t have the knowlege to create modules etc.

Here is the Learjet. An8 and msh. and DDS textures. Textures are not over brilliant lol. as it was a bit of a rush job. you may alter them anyway. Zip file removed now.

I was just wondering, has anyone figured out how to get the passengers back OFF the plane? I've tried a bunch of key combinations and haven't had any luck. Having the plane is great and all, but if I can't get the people off and onto their spacecraft, well...

On an unrelated note...

Anyone considered the A380 as launch platform? It's no AN-225 but it's a gigantic production airplane with a cargo variant. UCargoDeck, Velcro for JATOs and kitbashing launch vehicles, and some selective ignorance about the enormous vertical stabilizer might make this feasible.

What I was trying to say, was that I have a scenario that I have been developing that involves flying several VIPs to a spaceport and then flying them into orbit. Once they're in orbit, they can then transfer to another ship that will take them to a base on Titan.

So far, the only problem I have with this scenario is getting the passengers off of the A380 so they can board the launch vehicle.

I haven't figured out a way to do that short of creating a new scn file with the UMmu's already standing at the spaceport.
