Introducing our new simpit, we built it for students in Mongolia, not a lot of simps around these parts. From start to a working sim, not finished yet, in 2.5 months. Its a dual use simpit running FSX and Orbiter. Now clearly its a lot easier to run FSX on a simpit, so we are working on improving the Orbiter side of things.
We don’t have the best hardware, midrange GPU x2 on one PC, limited here. We shipped in the rest from the US. We intend this to be the first of many where we can. As an Aerospace centric approach we focused on the XR-5 as it closely resembles our own models we are building. Its a fairly simple set up nothing to exotic with many plug and play devices run on a number of 3rd party software programs and drivers, however we have started to employ micro controllers and want to include more physical switches etc to replace keyboards over time. We are also working around the resolution issue limiting the screen size.

A few itches we are trying to scratch include the ext MFD’s, to much white borders and backgrounds. This appears to be a tough nut to crack, still looking into it. Right now Joytokey is the go to software for Orbiter. This is the first time I have done anything like this so hell of a learning curve.
We are open to hints and advice, any commentary is welcome. And as we go and learn we will keep you in the loop. Thanks.
