Does anyone have any suggestions for a good-quality, refillable gel pen?

I'm looking for something I can buy for the long-term.
Hello,

Started work on the Proton. Very interesting launcher, those guys in the 60's had no computers for stuff like simulating aerodynamics, and still they got it right. Impressive.

You are real good with Soviet military stuff, do you think you could do a MiG-31 model one day ? Always wanted to fly one in Orbiter. Perfect plane for rocket-chasing and stratospheric fun.

I will try to continue the series of aviation, why not the MiG-31, but I am more familiar with the MiG-29 and Su-30, since my farm is next to the airfield and I can look at them and sketch them
Hi Fred, I'm looking for the download for Vessel Builder. I saw there was a link for a pre-release on the first page of the VesselBuilder thread, but it doesn't seem to work. Do you know where i could find the newest release?

the link is still active. if you right click and download the zip file it should just work. I just tried to be sure and it's working. For some browser security issue it might be that the download does not start automatically, but if you right click the link and save it it should work, let me know if you can get it

Had to click "open in new tab", should have thought of that. Thanks for the help
I am so excited over DanSteph's addon updates that are in progress. It is always such a blast of nostalgia to look back at what he has done, and it is endlessly exhilarating to see what more there is to come in the next iteration.

I don't know why I'm writing this blurb. Maybe the morning coffee just got to me, lol. Anyway, looking forward to the future!
I did not quite get around to answering you tonight so here's the short version
  • Make sure you're creating a new DLL project in VS
  • under C/C++ add the orbitersdk/include directory
  • under linker add the orbitersdk/lib
looks like you have LM 1 flying is there a link to that ?

What kind of link are you looking for? If you have NASSP 8 installed, there is a launch scenario under "Project Apollo - NASSP/Apollo - Mission Scenarios/Apollo 5/ ". The full mission is supported, but as it was unmanned there isn't much to do, you just watch the show.

I have only made one video about Apollo 5:
Maybe I'll make a video about the nominal mission some time.
I think I'm getting there with the landing business, but damn, why is the frequency to KSC runway so short ranged? Almost have no time to do course correction by the time it pops up on the HSI...

How would you adjust the HSI on the MFD? Or do you mean be on that heading to begin with as you are on your approach and then adjust the side to side? If so, I dunno if I can bank fast enough to do the final alignment by the time the frequency pops up...

The HSI has buttons labelled 'OB+' and 'OB-' and these rotate the HSI

Oh, interesting, I'll try it out!
The DeltaGliderIV and the Arrow Freighter remain in my memory since I was a child, and later had the opportunity to see the documentation of the add-ons you, a huge job. Thank you very much and I wish you my best wishes and success in your projects.

Much thanks for your comment, see stunning video about the new 2020 version on my youtube channel
I'm also working right now on a new feature for the Arrow that you'll love, youtube video coming soon. (3-5 day)

I saw the video, it is very good. I really liked the "shock absorbers" on the landing gear of the Arrow Freighter. I have a question for you, could you advise me some site or documentation to learn how to develop an add-on for Orbiter? I mean tips on mesh modeling for Orbiter and also on the topic of textures and programming. Thanks for your time and best regards.
Dear dansteph: I wanted to congratulate and thank you because I found out that you are reprogramming your addons for Orbiter 2016. It is a huge job and we all appreciate it very much.
I heard that Spanish maintains a consistent sound-to-spelling correspondence. However, if the word "rendezvous" is borrowed by Spanish, then how should you spell that word as a native speaker of Spanish? Rendezvous? Or something like "rondeivu"? The problem would be fixed if Spanish calque the word as "rendisted" (rendís + usted)!

Same thing would go for "manoeuvre". Is it "manoeuvre" or "manuver" in Spanish? Fortunately, instead of borrowing, Spanish calqued the word as "maniobra"!
Which language is simpler, English or French?

Depends on what language you are used to. Somebody with a roman language background, like from Italy or Spain, might have no issues with French, while most of northern Europe for example is pretty close to English and has it easier to adapt to English. If its neither - use English. French pronounciation and grammar is terribly complex and has almost as many exceptions in it as German...

Yeah, you are right. Both English and French are complex in their own way. I just asked the question because I became quite a fond of French culture and their space program, and found that French is an elegant and melodious language.

Yeah, the Ariane countdown sounds quite poetic, doesn't it? 🤩

So, if you are motivated to learn French (I wasn't really motivated when I was in school), this should be no problem and the challenges could just make it more rewarding - as long as you stay motivated.
Hey Jedidia, did you manage to find a release package of IMS? If not, I may ask around to see if anyone has a package they could upload...
