Does anyone know what the speed/dynamic pressure constraints on the airbrake usage for the XR series?:tiphat:

Since the upper and lower halves of each elevon flare out when the airbrake is engaged and the elevons are considered part of the wings, the elevons' max wing load & max dynamic pressure are the same as the wings themselves. This data is listed in Appendix B of the XR Flight Operations Manual:

Code:
Max positive wing load: 17000 N/m^2
Max negative wing load: 11000 N/m^2
Max dynamic pressure (absolute): 150 kPa

From an economic standpoint, I'm glad I can start the scenario over.

The first time I tried Glideslope, with an XR-2, I let my vertical speed grow very negative and couldn't avoid having the left wing tear off at Mach 14.
