Viewing with little light pollution?

Hey all, I have the opportunity to take my scope out to an area with extremely little to no light pollution. What are some tips on things to view? I mean, what sights should I look at to fully take advantage of the lack of light (or, what can be seen there that cannot be viewed from an area with high light pollution?). Thanks!

DSOs are what you're after. Nebula, Galaxies and very faint objects. I don't know what the power of your scope is and what you normally can't see from your light-polluted area so it's hard to give some recommendations.

Go for some of the more famous DSOs that you haven't seen before. Take a look at the Andromeda and Sombrero galaxies (if possible) and compare them to what you see of them from your normal location. Ring nebula is pretty good to. Orion nebula's not around at the moment unfortunately. There's a supernova just gone off in one of the galaxies. (see another thread). Take a look at that and see if you can see it!
