Quick Facts
The Mohammed VI satellites are high-resolution optical reconnaissance satellites built by Astrium and Thales Alenia Space and will be operated by Morocco. The satellites will be in particular used for mapping and land surveying activities, regional development, agricultural monitoring, the prevention and management of natural disasters, monitoring changes in the environment and desertification, as well as border and coastal surveillance.
Mohammed VI B will join Mohammed VI A which launched in November of 2017 with VV11 in a sun-synchronous orbit with an altitude of 620km.
