I made this video today while trying out some flightSim-style flying in Orbiter.
The inspiration to plug in my joystick came after watching Computerex's recent video flight around the Alysimia base.

Why did I think of Tex while making this video?
:)

Hope you enjoy the ride.

Very cool. U know if your going to start making a bunch of movies, then you should get a nice title page like tex does. ;)

That was great Tinfish! I left you a comment on You Tube as well. I loved the panning and after effects. What are you using for that, Vegas or another program? Thanks for posting, it was fun to watch and I liked the music. :speakcool:

You mean a website? I believe he already has one unless it's changed...

...I dunno about that, I liked Cosmic Explorer better.
They are two extremes of the video spectrum I guess: one hyper frantic, the other totally cosmic and serene - :)

Once again Computerex, I couldnt have done those flybys and closeup glidepast shots without your awesome flybyMFD addon - :speakcool:

Cheers again guys.

Hey Tin, you do know that you can do flybys without the MFD and easier? Also the camera will track the target this way. Just hop outside of the spacecraft, then press Ctrl+F1 to bring up the cameras window. See my screen shot below that shows you how to do it...

*I should edit the last part there..

Holding the right mouse button will allow you to move the camera forward, backwards, left, and right by moving the actual mouse in those directions. The mouse wheel alone controls the altitude of the camera.

On another note, a really cool thing about his Flyby MFD is the fact you can physically set the speed of the flyby you want, where you are a bit limited with the other option as anything faster than the slowest speed flysby so fast it's like.. "damn, did something just go by?"

Cheers for the tips, Tex.

Ive used the inbuilt flyby in Orbiter on occasion (I used it on my Glidepath video at the very end - where the shuttle flys by). But as you say, its all too fast ...blink and you miss it. But with Computerex's FlybyMFD I can fine tun the flyby to get get in so and close and so slow that you can see Martin's white knuckles on the Delta glider joystick
:)

Ta for watching, Nuke.

Did you mean the ESS station featured in the video?
If so, I got it from Mustard's d/l page.

BTW. Loved you Apollo scenarios. Had fun with them a few days ago.
(at least I think they were yours)
