Some years ago (maybe on M6) I was playing with a scenario to get the shuttle to the ISS in one orbit. The precision needed for the launch timing and burns was ...something. I recall doing some slight yawing during boost to do the plane alignment to get it to 0.0 deg inclination before MECO and success required the ISS to intercept the shuttle's apogee at very nearly the right time. The launch window was essentially instantaneous.
Actually getting a real spacecraft there in just about two orbits...wow.
