why is he talking about a piece of rubber?

I think he's talking about the o-ring that was in the shuttle-SRB during the Challenger-disaster. Could somebody confirm and/or explain it a bit more?

I thought youtube vids could only be 10 minutes ?? and here we got a great 45 minute show!
