PAD abort has been working previously with Apollo 7 v8 but not longer works with newer updates.

Still works for me. At what time in the coutdown are you trying a pad abort?

Strange, 4 mins and up to liftoff. LET with the capsule moving horizontally to the ground and crashing quickly. After liftoff I have no problems at all and abortion works great. I'll try to restart the simulation.

Apollo 8 works fine but not Apollo 7. This also applies to Missions Scenarios Apollo 7 and 8 "before Launch", Apollo 8 works fine but not Apollo 7.

So weird, it works perfectly fine for me in the "Apollo 7 - 01 - Before Launch T-60s" scenario.

When I do the abort the entire rocket immediately lay down horizontally hovering above the ground. Perhaps a new installation of orbiter is needed?

I guess it also depends on what installation you have right now. What NASSP and Orbiter versions are you using? I am using the latest NASSP 8 alpha version (release 1308) and the Orbiter Beta Rev 73 (build from December 3rd, 2017). I haven't updated to the very latest Orbiter Beta yet, but I don't see anything in the changelog that would break things. And even the Orbiter 2016 release should be fine for launches and abort etc.

I wonder if it is a framerate issue. Are you getting a very low framerate? The Saturn might behave weirdly on the ground if that is the case.

Ok, may depend on the orbiter version. Where can I find Beta Rev 73?

http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/betainstall.html

Here are the instructions. But I am not convinced this is going to solve the issue. If you are using the Orbiter2016 release the issue probably would still be the same. Not sure though. But you can try it if you want, of course. After all, NASSP is being developed for the Orbiter Beta, not Orbiter 2016 anymore and you could get issues with CSM+LM docked SPS or DPS burns in the Orbiter 2016 release version. So you will want at least Orbiter Beta revision 71. I'm using R73 because that's the newest version for which there is a dedicated DX9 Client, I think.

Thank you Indy, I think the latest version is 84, I'll try it.

Which DX9 Client? I got CTD when using DX9 version R2

Ok, I solved it with D3D9ClientBeta 27-for rev73. It seems to work with Orbiter beta v84 and NASSP v8.
