Problem Orbiter crash

My orbiter crashes when I load a scenario.If I use the red version then the load screen loads for 5 secs the crashes,and if I use the blue version then it loads stuff in the cmd then crashes after the last step.
My RTL(runtime library)s are all uptodate.The CPU/Memory usage is only 5% when I run the orbiter.

When running OrbiterNG (no graphics this is the blue icon) you need to have a graphics client installed.

Your issue with Orbiter (the red icon) is probably setting the resolution too high. Orbiter(red icon) uses DX7 (from 1999) and is quite old at this point. The standard way almost everyone runs Orbiter is with the graphics client and OrbiterNG, as I stated above.

I did.It isn't helping.

Did it crash when you tried to launch a scenario, or that is not the complete log? If it didn't crash, did you get a splash screen or just the command line?
Could you also try window-mode vs full screen, and also play around with the resolution?


Also, for the "experts": wasn't there an issue running Orbiter right from the C:\ folder? I did a quick search and didn't find anything, but I remember something being mentioned somewhere.

Actually my install is C:\OrbiterTop\Orbiter. OrbiterTop contains the download folder and the external docs folder, and others. It could contain multiple Orbiter installs, if you like.

AFAIK, Orbiter doesn’t like the x86 folder, it prefers to run as C:\Orbiter. That’s where it is in mine.
Actually my install is C:\OrbiterTop\Orbiter. OrbiterTop contains the download folder and the external docs folder, and others. It could contain multiple Orbiter installs, if you like.
My install is in C:\Orbiter2016

Could you also try window-mode vs full screen, and also play around with the resolution?

Also, there is a D3D9 log, which has several debug levels, controlled by an option in... (again, from memory) "Visual Settings >> Advanced (this is a button which opens a new window) >> Log level". Set it to the full output, try a scenario and post both logs please (the D3D9 log is a .html file, located in /Modules/D3D9).
