Does anybody want to take up mission 3 ?

Actually I'd like to aim to mission #7.
Quite newbie here, and after mission #2 notes have been posted I will probably sove the doubts I have, which are the following:

- How do the modules get attached. That is: is there a commad to attach them or are they supposed to auto-attach when releasing a module near the other one correctly placed, just like docking? I have searched in the forums, but didn't get to it. If anybody knows of a link or a clue to search, I'd figure out.
- What order are the parts to be assembled in.

One last thing: in the mean time, if someone wants to fly mission #7, please don't think I am attempting any kind of reservation, go ahead and request, I'd apply as backup just equally happy :)

My previous troubles with the CTD when selecting OFSS has been fixed. Don't know what exactly I missed the previous attempts, but she works like a charm now.

So. I'm ready to rock! :RnR1:

There's some preliminary documentation for IMS here. I don't know how you guys are doing it, whether you just do all the flights first and then assemble, or if you assemble while you go. I assume the second (because there wouldn't be much point in using IMS if you went with the first), in which case integrating a new module works as follows:
1) dock the module to the station at the correct location
2) focus on the station, go to cockpit view
3) press ctrl-down to get to the engineering panel
4) select construction" on the screen to the left
5) press "attach closest"
6) if needed, click "rotate" to change the module's rotation around the docking port
7) press "integrate"
8) Profit!!

Orbiter always keeps crashing when I want to load Launch1. It looks like IMS is causing the CTDs:

Orbiter always keeps crashing when I want to load Launch1. It looks like IMS is causing the CTDs:

How did you do this install? Did you start from a completely new Orbiter directory? Did you follow the full install walkthrough? Or did you use the new auto-installer?

Most likely you did not extract and run one of the executable, versus just doing an extract over the top of the Orbiter directory.

There's nothing in the log pointing to IMS, but there's nothing in the log pointing to anything else, either, so it's still a possibility. More information is needed.

Did a clean install and followed instuctions as posted on the install-thread.
Just deleted some directories like "Flight", "Install", etc.
I will try a new install and won't touch anything then.

Try CsvInstall. (Find it on orbithangar.com)

Will try it tomorrow, thanks.

Got it working by now. Fix is to run orbiter_ng.exe in WinXP SP3 compatibility mode.

Cool. That probably makes sense, given the age of some of the addons.

I've added this to the installer walkthrough.

This worked for me as well.

Another problem workaround. I found that if I left Rendezvous Orientation MFD active on one my MFD's, the game crashed on re-load. I had to go into the scenario file and delete the content of the MFD to get it to start properly.
