No Orbiter files @ AVSIM

I wasn't too fond of avsim either...It didn't really contain any new add-ons, most of the add-ons present there were incompatible with the latest orbiter release.

I'll agree with you there, more to the point it was often ''install & hope ' to see if something worked, this was a pity because often there are things there which are good ideas/concepts, but which have not been updated because the authors lost interest in orbiter.

Somewhere I have the only attempt to do the 'Shuttle-C' unmanned cargo variant of the Space Shuttle along with a whole bunch of other stuff I downloaded from AVSIM at one time or another (this includes the Outer Planets add on).

I'm going to go through my Orbiter CDs/DVDs and see just what came from AVSIM, I'll post the list to this thread, with notes on what version of orbiter I think each item is for and who the author was.

I think when or if avsim comes back online we should check and/or move any files to Orbiter Hanger.

You have to be careful there, as that'd be breaking the copywrite on the addons. Redistribution without the owner's permission and all that stuff.

just to tell you people that all the files are back online there. to all authors that uploaded their addons there I suggest you upload those files to OrbitHangar ASAP. who knows when they will f*** up again
