Has anyone tried to run Orbiter in Wine. Orbiter can have a GraphicsClient plugin that receives the Orbiter calls and then passes the call info out of Wine as packets to a system socket.

A native Linux application then receives these as its bound to the same socket. Deciphers the contents and renders in Linux. Of course it would need a mirror copy of the Orbiter directory contents so it can read them directly in Linux - which should be simple to do.

I would think this would be much faster than running Orbiter solely in Wine.
