Hi,

My latest building for WIN has transparent glass (set in the material, not alpha texture). Now I know that I have to have the transparent object last in the mesh file, I also know I need the mesh itself to load last in the base cfg file, so I can see the all other base meshes through the transparency.

So far so good. However, it seems vessels are not visible through it, only their shadow?

When the mesh was loaded as a vessel, the transparency worked fine, but now that I am loading it in the base config file I get this problem. Is there a solution? Or do I have to use and alpha texture instead?

Cheers

Probably it could be related to the way Orbiter renders objects.
I have found that Orbiter renders objects in layers.
This is why you may see surface base meshes that are in the hidden side of a planet.
So depending on how rendering works you may have a problem or not.

Yeah I have a feeling it's an unavoidable problem hard-coded into the exe. There are workarounds, but I was curious as to whether there was an 'answer'.

Cheers.
