Journey to Space - Film

Narrated by Patrick Stewart this film is about an upcoming human exploration of Mars. The trailer shows an interplanetary solar-electrical (?) powered vessel with long trusses, large solar arrays, inflatable hab, an Orion docked to it and a Mars lander with a large conical supersonic decelerator. Pretty nice stuff actually!

Interesting!

It's nice to see the vehicle burning in a more or less believable direction for a Mars capture in that image, too, though that could easily be coincidence.

 

[Star Voyager]

I actually saw this movie at the KSC VC a few weeks ago. It was a little underwhelming. Most of the IMAX footage is from past IMAX movies ("The Dream is Alive", "Space Station 3D", etc), and Patrick Stewart narrates only a little bit of the movie. However, it's made up for with Chris Ferguson's excellent narration and showcasing of some future technology.

This is a really wonderful movie. I've got a real pleasure watching it.
