Well - there is no autopilot which can do all for you on 1 click but you can use IMFD.

However I encourage you to familiarize yourself with tutorials provided HERE so you can grab basics of orbital mechanics

Of the stock spacecraft, the Deltaglider has more than enough delta-V to make it. For navigation, you'll want to learn [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3039"]TransX[/ame] or Interplanetary MFD.

Yeah im learning that now. (even though ive played orbiter for 2 years i never did a manual burn to the moon :facepalm: )
But, i dont see how the DG has enough fuel. i just completed a few orbits and landing at KSC (First one actually even though playing for so long :facepalm: )
and i only had 600 pounds (mass is in pounds, right?) of fuel left. so I guess KSP orbital tactics isnt the most fuel effeciant :rofl:

The most important factor is launching on the correct date.
Google "cosmic train schedule" for launch windows.

Then come the MFDs.

Orbiter is 100% SI system, so no. Mass is measured in kg.
And that's what I like about Orbiter a lot, since I was born and grew up in metric country. Now I live in de-jure metric country, but in reality I need to know imperial system as well and I can't help but wonder how counterintuitive and hard it is compared to a simple and elegant SI :)

If, by any chance, you can read Italian, I've just finished writing a Earth->Mars tutorial (IMFD) for my website.

Come arrivare su Marte con l'IMFD

Except for the XR series.
I am using to the metric system,and the XR series uses the Imperial standard most of the time.
In the right secondary hud show my speed in MPH.
I tried o change it, but was unable to do so.

The only other unit I like to have are Knots & Feet, because its what you have in most plane simulators. By chance 1 m/s ~= 2 Knots, but still... It helps me for landing and takeoff speeds (I often land the DG at 180 m/s, thinking that it is 180 Knots (roughly the landing speed of a fast, heavy jet fighter).

I did edit the config file for the XR2.
It give me M/S and not KM/H.
May I use a formula in the config file?
Like this???
[SECONDARYHUD-3]
# The default settings for this mode are useful for ATMOSPHERIC FLIGHT/LANDING
# DARK BLUE text on LIGHT GRAY background
# To make this transparent like the other HUD modes, change BackgroundColor to 255,255,255
# and then change the TextColor to something else.
TextColor=42,58, 130
BackgroundColor=192,192,192

No, the thread shouldn't be closed now. We don't lock threads just because you got the answer. There may be other people who want their answers still posted on the thread.
