Hello everyone.
I'm creating a satellite and I have a problem.

How do I create two independent fuel tanks using Spacecraft3.dll?
I need one for the main engine and the other for RCS.
The only way to get it is that the main engines and RCS use the same tank.

I'm afraid this is impossible. Spacecraft3.dll only supports one propellant resource.

Could you spilt your vessel/mesh and use one in each?

There are some tricks but it depends on how the vessel will be created in orbiter: jettisoned by a rocket? Standing by itself? Directly by a scenario?

Ok thanks, it is impossible using spacecraft3.dll

What do you advise me to use? I started recently with the programming on the Orbiter and I still have much to learn.
I want to create a satellite with apogee engine and RCS. As explained above you must have two fuel tanks.

I'm afraid that DaveS is right : with spacecraft3 it is imossible to have 2 tanks...
(same for Main, retro, RCS... and Hoover).

so when it is empty, all the motors can't work...

the only way is to use Multistage, or to have 2 différents meshes (vessels) attached...

So has used multistage, could you give me an example of multistage sattelite created?
With separate tanks for RCS and Main Engine. I imagine you to switch between them have to press F3.

The only way to have a second tank in SC3, is to have the tank as a payload, with a docking port, and a docking port available on the main vessel. So when it is jettisoned, they immediatley dock. Then you can use re-fuel MFD, to fill the tank. Abit awkward and involved, but it makes it possible.
