Played Orbiter years ago but didn't expect the forums to be updated. Definitely nicer than the old ones.
Which mods are a must-have btw?

Well, if he's into Apollo program (and who isn't for that matter:giggle:) I would say NASSP is pretty hard for someone who's new (or like in this case played long long time ago) with Orbiter.
So, knowingly risking a public lynch from all hardcore Apollo fans, I would rather recommend - AMSO for Orbiter 2016

not to mention much better visuals :sneaky:

also, this:

a little 2022 surprise
and it's totally gorgeous

I beg to differ... NASSP has better visuals, AMSO looks a bit cartoonish.
Yes, all that nice texturing and shiny stuff look nice, but if you compare to actual hardware NASSP is more accurate.

NASSP all the way! AMSO is the little kids' Apollo sim. :)

Both share a common lineage if you go back to 2002 or so. AMSO is a great way to learn about spaceflight and Orbiter using common Orbiter tools. NASSP can be easy if you're well read on mission and procedure you're attempting because of the detail and precision in tools it provides, plus there is a fairly good sized and growing community of experienced users.
