I've downloaded every Death Star from Orbit Hanger that I could find. According to the "Readme"'s all they require is the Shuttle Tyderium which I also installed. The other one called "That's Not A Moon" requires the "Alpha Centauri Solar System" from AVSIM. The problem is, the ones that require the Shuttle Tyderium always crash to desktop claiming that they're missing files that I have verified are in the "Config" folder. The "That's Not a Moon" Death Star, I can't get running because the Alpha Centauri Solar Sytem is no longer available at AVSIM.

Can anyone help me to get these Death Stars up and running ? And does anyone have any new link to the Alpha Centauri Solar System addon ?

I'd really love to try the "That's Not A Moon" Death Star because it says it has cool tunnels into the superstructure and into the inner chamber that I'd love to try to fly through. The only problem there, like I said, is that you need the "Alpha Centauri Solar System" addon from AVSIM for it, and that addon is no longer around. :(

So far, almost ever Star Wars related mod I've put in has had "issues" and usually come with no documentation. The Corellian Corvette when loaded is invisible, The "Executor" Star Destroyer has the mesh of a regular star destroyer for some reason... etc...

I'm about to give up on my Star Wars themed Orbiter install and just do the Star Trek themed one instead. Hopefully the addons for that are less buggy.

Yeah. I have all of those. I just have a bunch of different "Themed" Orbiter installs, The best of which is the "World of 2001" That thing is a fantastic piece of work and I have yet to find a single bug in it and I've been flying around with that mod for years. I'm hoping that someday, someone adds more stuff for it. Conspicuously missing is the actual failed mission flying Discovery from Earth to TMA2 at Jupiter (I had to jury rig a scenario for that.) World of 2001/2010 addons could really use some more scenarios. That would be a cool project to get a team to work on. Maybe call the addon "Bowman's Journey" and include Bowman's first space mission (According to the book, he was part of other missions to the Moon and Mars as training) as well as the failed mission to Jupiter. I saw in another thread that someone was working on a Discovery II which was supposed to fly out and pick up the Discovery crew after they conducted their science at Jupiter (Saturn in the book). This would be cool to add in too.

My other favorite theme install is my "Space Shuttle" theme install featureing every Space Shuttle addon that's out there along with the Space Station Building Blocks, ISS Fleet, and a few other mods tossed in.

You can get the various deathstars working but you have to do a hack and slash on the scenario file.Just try changing the references for the alpha centauri system to sol and it should work.i had them all working a while ago and if i can find my files i'll post them.I was also working on combining the different deathstar models in to one with the trench and tunnels and power generator in the center.I'll have top get back to that one soon.good luck and if i can find the files i'll try to link them.

We need to unify all the Star Wars Models into the Star Wars Universe addon. That addon has a LOT of potential and could end up just as cool as the World of 2001 is.

Here's my Orbiter log. It looks like we're suffering from the same error.
Sorry guys
And there are small errors that crash the desktop, I can just solve the problem even on OHM.

Open the Meshes folder,and rename the file DSHANGAR.msh to HANGAR.msh

Open the Config>Spacecraft>DSTAR.ini and change
MESHNAME="TIEF"
to
MESHNAME="D_STAR"
:cheers:

You need a graphics card powerful enough, my deathstar has a very high resolution textures with very large, I think that's the problem, or try to post more log orbiter, another solution is to make a low-resolution version

ok here is the log.
This is a log file overwritten by Orbiter Launchpad without simulation running. You need to copy content of it just after the crash, without re-running Orbiter. [But if you are running it on Vista/7 and Orbiter's folder is in Program Files, you need to look for Orbiter.log in your profile's "\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files" subfolder.]

One thing I can say from that: you don't have the "Always enumerate devices" checkbox checked on the Video tab of Orbiter Launchpad, since the log shows only 2 devices on the list.

Tick that checkbox and select T&L renderer with your graphics card in parenthesis from the list above it, and then check if it crashes again.
